A beloved institution which has lost its ways?... The staff was mildly attentive (kinda "gotta work somewhere to make ends meets" crosses "it's late in the day and I'd rather be somewhere else"), but the disappointment was the meal itself. While served warm, my homestyle fried chicken breast and chicken fried steak served with mashed potatoes smothered in cheddar cheese revealed itself as too crispy (chicken), mysterious (fried steak) and congealed (cheddar topping quickly became plasticky). The waker seemed overwhelmed. She was serving three different tables period we had to ask twice for our drinks and it took forty-five minutes to just get our drinks. She was either new or just forgetful. Also, my hash browns were burnt and eggs and bacon were below room temperature. But she was very polite and she was working to the best of her abilities.
