Well I don't know what's happened in 6 mos at BMW of Alexandria...I had the worst experience ever and had my credit card charged without my permission. The loaner department needs people with better communication skills. No one checked in the car with me jus took the car...no one talked to me about additional charges...it's a loaner offered to me for time that the my car was being worked on for three days for tires. I can’t say enough great things about my experience with Marcel at Alexandria BMW. From start to finish, he provided top-notch service, going above and beyond to ensure my M3 convertible was in the best hands. This was my first time visiting for a recall service. My car stayed there for a month for a part and when they said it was ready, I drove it home. However, the next day, when I tried to go to work, I found that my key couldn’t start the engine. I had to take it back to fix the key issue. On the same day, after getting it back, I encountered another problem—the sunroof wouldn’t open or close automatically. I had to Google how to reset the sunroof to fix it myself. Be careful if you choose to have service done here. I’m honestly not sure if they want your warranty business. The check-in process is a disaster. I was told they had scheduled 80 appointments for the day, and despite having an 8:15 AM appointment was bluntly told they couldn’t check my car for the various warranty issues until 12 or 1 PM. When they speak with the service department manager, but after an unrealistic wait to speak to him, I decided to go elsewhere.
