I am appalled by the treatment my 80-year-old mother — a vulnerable cancer patient — received here. During a recent procedure, the anaesthetist subjected her to nearly thirty attempts to insert a cannula, leaving her with severe bruising on her arms, feet, and legs. UK medical guidelines clearly state only two attempts should be made. She could not communicate well in English, and it felt like her vulnerability was taken advantage of. On 2 July my husband Clive Arrow attended the London Independent Hospital for further back injections by Mr Sivaraman. The whole experience from arrival to departure was very positive and I received excellent care and kindness from all the nursing and theatre staff. A fantastic hospital, nurses, Doctors, Physiotherapist, kitchen staff are all extreamly friendly, caring and very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is very good and nutritious. Cleanliness is extreamy good. Reception staff are kind and very helpful. I can't wait to go back for my second knee surgery.
