I had a bad experience with the maintenance and property management during our family vacation in Emerald Isle. There were numerous issues with regards to the condition of the home and we tried reaching out to Guest Services. We were disappointed and thus, left the house early cutting our vacation short.
Bluewater failed to provide the secure, private, and habitable accommodations for which we contracted and paid. We experienced serious habitability issues, repeated intrusions upon our privacy, and significant distress affecting my family, including my disabled veteran husband and his service dog. Furthermore, Bluewater failed to meet the standards required under North Carolina’s Vacation Rental Act, and the circumstances surrounding our stay substantially interfered with our use and enjoyment of the property. The bed is very comfortable and I was allowed to stay an extra night due to a health problem. Meeting the HOA "Karen" was an interesting experience....the freak out about me having my ES-K9 with the approval of Reservations was ridiculous and I kept getting messages about complaints regarding my dog and not a single complaint was true.
