We stayed here the evening of our wedding! It was so lovely! Super clean and quiet, prompt replies from the owners. An ideal evening for us! :) will definitely be coming back!
Beautiful views , perfect for a quiet getaway! The cabin was perfectly and thoughtfully stocked. Beautiful drive and close to Eklutna Lake. This would be a lovely facility for a small wedding or family reunion. Fun architecture/design and a lovely site with connecting paths. The owner has 2 friendly dogs. I enjoyed their "good morning" visit. If you're not a dog lover, perhaps you could arrange with the owner to have them contained when you arrive and depart. I also enjoyed the thriving Shamrock plant.
I was looking for the perfect place surrounded by nature between Girdwood and the Mat-Su Valley to host a Wellness Retreat. BlueWater BaseCamp checked every box. Amazing staff, beautiful chalets surrounded by beautiful landscapes and trails. 🤍
My dog and I LOVED our cabin! We got the Hideaway cabin for a small getaway in March and it was so cozy and nice. The location itself is very close to Lake Eklutna and also closer to town than I thought. The staff was really great - kept in communication but not too much, which was perfect for us. I have AT&T and had super spotty service but still a tiny bit of service sometimes. Our cabin had a WiFi router so we still had internet access but sometimes it was a bit spotty too. Having spent a lot of time in backcountry cabins with no running water, out houses, wooden bunks and camp stoves, staying here was a luxurious personal retreat! Beautifully designed and furnished in a beautiful and close location I enjoyed every minute of relaxation there and spring skiing on Eklutna lake.
