I was referred to Bluestar Gardens by a friend in 2017, soon after we had moved into our brownstone in Boerum Hill. We have used Bluestar Gardens twice. Once for our small Brooklyn patio where she did everything from the design to the installation and then most recently as a landscape design consultant for our entire yard in the Berkshires. We were in dire need of plantings, flowers, trees, etc. for the front, side, back and along the driveway. Martha is simply the best - smart, creative, patient and knowledgeable. Bluestar helped me with a large terrace and planters in Brooklyn. First, Martha at Bluestar has the best sense of color and planting combinations that I have ever seen - I had seen her work around the neighborhood and called her based on how much I loved it. Very interesting, modern combinations with really excellent color and textural appeal. That is something hard to find.
