I was about to rent an apartment on Blueground and got hit with surprise after surprise. First, the advertised price? Not the final price — expect at least $1,000+ in extra fees added at checkout. Fine, I thought. But then comes the kicker: if you want to pay by credit card, they charge you another $1,000+ on top. The only way to avoid it? DO NOT USE THIS BOOKING SERVICE. My experience was absolutely unacceptable. They canceled my booking the very same day and withdrew nearly $7,000 from my account without providing any clear communication. Reaching someone from their office was almost impossible — I was initially assisted by Monique, who later refused to take my calls or respond to my emails.
