My wife and I dined at Blue Fire Grill for the first time on July 14, 2015 for our 36th Wedding Anniversary. The experience was exceptional. The ceviche was just OK, the beet and spinach salads were very good and the halibut and short rib were outstanding. The 5-Star rating is the result of the over-the-top service. Bluefire over the years has disappointed me. I think that people like BlueFire because they are on vacation from somewhere very boring and being on the grounds your lulled into a haze where everything tastes better, but in terms of absolute and just good food this place does not deliver. How can the service be so good throughout the other stores and services on site, but only mediocre overall here. Took our friends out to dinner here and enjoyed the food, service, and experience. Service was prompt and knowledgeable. The food, particularly the specials, were excellent. We had the manager and chef check on our meal and we did not have to wait for anything. Excellent dining experience.
Ordered the Filet Mignon while my wife ordered the King Salmon. Both were superb, with the filet being tender and absolutely delicious, and the salmon full of flavor. Calamari appetizer was also incredibly yummy, and the "Perfect Mohito" was just that. Noise level was high. It was expensive, but worth it. I highly recommend the Bluefire Grill and would definitely go back here.
