Bluefin Newport Beach Takes a Dive – We loved this restaurant in the past, but sadly we were terribly disappointed with a recent visit (11/9/10) .The stale, fishy tasting, over priced sushi and the terrible service left us very surprised at the decline in this once fine restaurant. Absolutely the finest Japanese Restaurant in OC! – My husband and I just love this restaurant, the sushi is sublime and the cooked dishes are fantastic. Chef Abe does an incredible job constantly coming up with creative and absolutely delicious dishes. Try the Omakase, (Chef's Choice) menu. You'll be in for an amazing dining experience.
Simply Amazing! – This is my favorite Japanese/Sushi restuarant. I have follow Abe from his days on Balboa and have never been disappointed by his innovative creations. The prices are higher then your typical sushi restaurant, but are worth the experience.
My favorite sushi restaurant so far – I've been let down by many sushi/fusion places in OC, zipangu and ikko, but Blue Fin has not let me down. Their omakasa is no Matsuhisa, but their cooked dishes are delicious... good if you like small portions.
