Although I can’t complain about power supply to my home, what led to my 1 star review is the lack of clear communication through notices and bills, and the huge lack of empathy, and help offered during financial hardship of their customers. Was sent a bill stating “total amount due by 8/13”… This morning my electric was cutoff, and they added a $110 dollar reconnection fee. I've been with Bluebonnet for over a decade and I have seen so much growth in the company in their customer service experience, starting from their upgraded app to their responsiveness. My electricity went out at midnight. I logged into to their nice organized portal, very user friendly, reported the outage. Went ahead and also called, on a Saturday at midnight I obviously got an automated message but I was still able to report the outage. Within 30 minutes a technician was at my property. I went in and paid by cash and the lady at the window was rude, but took my check and gave me a receipt and I took a picture of it and sent it to my husband, next day they shut off my power because of non payment I went up there with my receipt and proof that I paid and that my my balance in my account was 0.00. If I could give 0 stars I would. Some how I’ve been charged an addition deposit after paying a deposit and disconnect fee for services that was never disconnected. The hidden fees and failed attempts to explain by bluebonnet staff creates a constant exist of chaos I’ve spoken to 4 different representatives who all gave poor explanations. I wish we had more options for electricity. If I had to recommend an electric company Bluebonnet would never be my 1st selection. I cannot say enough about the responsiveness of Bluebonnet Electric. They were at my home in an hour. Then they returned at 8 the next morning ready to work. Count me as a huge fan.
