Took a little trip to Ennis from Waxahachie, just continuing to discover the area. A nice lady at the visitor's office suggested this place and we're glad she did. Service was amazing and so was the food. I had the chicken fried chicken; the best I've had in a while. My wife had the pull pork Mac and cheese sandwich - which I want to go back and try. To top it off we were offered soft drinks to go as we left. Looking forward to going back soon.
Nice hole in the wall place. Server was jovial and attentive. Food was terrific, (pancakes were HUGE). Prices are well below what a chain restaurant would charge. My first time here, will NOT be my last.
My husband and I are going to visit our Airman for a couple of days and instead of our usual brisket from Bucees we decided to take a little detour in Ennis and eat at the Bluebonnet City Grill. This place was so clean and charming. Our server, Billy, was new but already had the menu down and was so very friendly and shared his love for Jesus with us. The food was delicious, probably the best chicken fried steak we've had in forever. If you're ever in Ennis, Tx stop in and enjoy.
