Update: when I went to end my time I was told by the person working that I only had to give 5 days notice. I was very surprised at that as I assumed it was month to month regardless. So when I actually was done it turns out the 5 day thing isn't real and it's a whole month for any part of a month. I guess I'm a bit frustrated with how it ended but really for what it is you're not going to do better.
