Had my birthday dinner here while in LA for some meetings and apartment hunting, and wow this place was amazing. As a horror fan, I LOVED IT, as a vegan food fan, I LOVED IT, and as a person who appreciates kind staff, I LOVED IT. I pray to God Dirk’s gets the business it needs to remain on Ventura for years to come, because I will soon live close enough to be a very frequent customer. Oh man. This is literally the place I’ve been wanting. Beer, enough vegan options for me to choose from and surrounded by the spooky and scary. They have clips from classic movies playing on a big projector screen in the back patio. Friendly staff as well. Beer is supplied by Blue Bird Brew but they also have other beers and cocktails if craft beer isn’t your thing. Not a full vegan menu but like I said plenty of options. Off of Ventura so think about parking as it’s all on the street. Can’t wait to go again

Had the Sherman Spokes amber and the Background Czech Pils. The beers were decent, though I was surprised by the lack of Belgian style beers on the menu. The food seems to cater to vegans, but they do have options for their carnivorous friends. We had the pepperoni pizza, which was again pretty good.
