I am very disappointed in our .little Yorkshire terriers haircuts. I have been here several times because we live so close and have not once gotten the haircuts I asked for. This time I even drew a picture and left very detailed instructions and the dogs haircuts were not remotely close to what I asked for. Obviously they are sending me a message that they don't want to groom our little dogs. After several tries, I am getting the message! For the 90 dollars I pay maybe I can buy my own dog shears.

I highly recommend this place. Blue velvet has been in business for over 40 years. That should tell you something. The grooming is impeccable. My poodle always looks like a show dog. She seems to really like the groom and my dog is not necessarily an easy to please dog. Miss Deborah is nice and treats the dogs very well. As far as the dogs being in cages, I would think they would have to be while they're waiting on service. That doesn't bother me at all or my dogs. My Favorite Groomer's – I started taking my pair of golden retrievers here years ago when I got tired of bathing them myself. They do a remarkable and thorough job washing big dirty dogs. Now I have two little Maltese mixes who go to Cindy at Blue Velvet on a regular basis. They always go into the shop happy and excited to be there. The shop has an updated look and is always clean. i do NOT recomend poor management – It appears as if the place is falling apart my dog was shaking like a leaf his hair cut looked really bad. I also found out thru public record that at least two of the employees have felony drug charges either convicted or pending.. very poor management i told manager what i wanted and it is not what i got. I am going to Canine Carousel from now on

worst place – dogs kept stacked in up in cages, it takes like 8 hours, HORRIBLE!!! NEVER TAKE YOUR DOG HERE

Kept my dog there for 7 hours with an appointment!! – I remember taking my dog to this place when I was just a kid. They always did a wonderful job, and were very nice. I've heard some new owners took over at some point, and now things are different. Recently, I made an appointment for early in the morning (they said that was the best time to bring her in) and got my dog there by 8:50 a.m. I filled out my information card and circled and starred my cell phone number for contact even telling the person at the desk to call me ... read more
