Crunchy Blue is the best. The whiefish is awesome too! Love Blue!
If you go for the sushi you won't be disappointed. I thought the food here was just great and the variety of martini's wasn't bad either. The atmosphere was fun, kind of trendy feel. I did not think it was that pricey considering the cost of good sushi in general. The plate display was probably the best part. The chef used flowers and even DRY ICE to make our dinner look amazing!
Blue Sushi Sake Grill is the BEST Sushi bar i have EVER been to! I have had sushi all over the United States to include, L.A., New York, Myrtle Beach, and Atlanta.....NOTHING COMPARES! The price, the service, the flavor, the freshness......everything is perfect! I tell everyone about BLUE! Omaha Nebraska is known for its beef...not Sushi...until now....
The tempura was outstanding, service excellent.
I did not enjoy my experience here at all. The food is VERY expensive and the atmosphere is far too much like a bar than a restaurant.
My wife and I normally stay closer to midtown but like sushi so we thought we would head out west to try this new location. When we arrived the first thing we noticed was how loud it was. Despite the fact that there were only a few people in the restaurant and a couple at the bar the music was turned up so loud we could not enjoy our lunch. The end result was a continuation of our first impression.... A lot of noise but not much substance.
From what some locals had told me, I had high expectations when my friend and I headed out for sushi. The decor here reminded me more of a something between a sports bar and a burger joint. Service was very slow and no one seemed to be in a good mood. Everything that we tried reminded me of the type of sushi that you would get at the grocery store. The rice was dry and I did not think the sushi was as fresh and it should be. Probably not someplace that I would go back to.
I just left from my second visit to this location. The first time I went it the staff was pretty full of themselves to the point of being snobby. Today, they were just downright rude. After a little shopping in the mall we thought we would grab a quick cocktail and snack. The restaurant was totally empty and the person that met us at the door had the gall to ask if we had Valentines day reservations. My friend and I just looked at each other and laughed and walked out the door and went down the street where the staff was fri... read more
I have never been a fan of this place even when it first opened up and was considered a hot spot by some of the local's that have no idea what real sushi is supposed to be. Omaha has many restaurants that serve a better product for less money. Based on my experience here, I have not visited either the downtown or baby location but friends assure me that both fall in line with the comments I just made about this location. If you want to go to a bar that serves a very corrupted version of sushi, go here. If you want true Sushi... read more
