For how unpleasant what was done to my toe (to fix it) it was already made up for by the staffs personalities and eagerness to help their patients. Upon hobbling in the building I immediately knew I was in the right place. Dr. McKee is the most understanding and compassionate Dr. I have ever worked with. Dr. Theodore McKee and office staff (including surgical, at the new, state of the art outpatient surgery center on the grounds as Augusta Health Hospital) have been an awesome part of my experience having first time foot surgery. It took nearly 2 months to get an appointment. In light of scheduling, that may be reasonable. In the meantime I was left to deal with a very inflamed, and possible infected foot on my own. ( Stories of E. R. care clarified that would be an expensive and wasted trip.). The receptionist and doctor were pleasant. Some treatment was given, a referral to vascular was mentioned, an antibiotic prescribed, and X-ray's ordered. No pain medication or anti inflammatory meds.
