Two other appraiser bailed on us and we were having trouble finding anyone before our due diligence ran out. Blue Ridge Appraisal was the third appraiser assigned. They got the job done 1 day early. It was a big relief after what we had been through. Thanks to them we closed as scheduled.
I was a client, but by profession I am a Mortgage Loan Officer- I know this business. Like the other reviewer, the appraiser went MIA. What's worse is he forgot our initial appointment and sent his wife (a real estate agent) to do the job 2 hours later. No measurements were taken, she didn't do outside photos and I ended up sending in blue prints / outside pics so the job could be completed. I was forced to use this appraiser for an fha loan. He was great and professional when he was here. But he never turned in the appraisal. Wont return any messages from the lender or broker. Wont return any messages from me and has apparently skipped town yet again.
