I've mentioned to staff in previous years, please upgrade the speakers. I mostly visit for JD EDWARDS. His wall of sound squeezed through those sad little speakers is almost the worst I've ever heard. A great band undone by inferior gear. The bottom is flubby, mids are muddy, highs are lonesome. First set the backing vox were loud&clear, second set they disappeared. Check out JD EDWARDS at the Gas Station theater on YT to see how good they sound in a proper venue. Then see them at the Blue Note. Then go tell the band.
Sooo good
I've been going every summer in the past years and each time I leave even more disappointed than my previous visits. The atmosphere is depressing, music is crappy, place is filthy and tickets are overpriced. Last time I went I've paid 2x $30 tickets for 1,5 hours show which I didn't enjoy a bit. Sadly, I will not visit Blue Note Park anymore, it's just not worth it. Management is not investing in good entertainment and in renovating this old establishment.
Excellent place for outdoor concerts. The sound was good and good selection of beers and drinks and a food truck right in front on Main St had excellent choices.
