My most recent experiences with Blue Mule Garage and “Jimmy” Maus will be my last. I brought my 4Runner to them for preventative timing belt replacement as it was coming up on 100k since the last time I replaced it. Michelle in the office kept me updated every step of the way: Texted when my truck arrived via tow, the next day when they did a preliminary diagnosis and again after the mechanics had options to approve. The mechanics were smart and thinking outside the box for a lower cost repair that solved my issue. Everyone went above and beyond to assist me as I am in Ft. I initially liked this place. But after my son had a bad experience here with his tundra I probably won’t be back. After replacing a valve cover gasket, the shop left valve cover screws off, the wiring harness a mess where I couldn’t remove the dipstick, and forgot to replace the plastic top engine cover. Then it was really difficult to get in touch with anyone at the shop so I gave up. It’s so difficult to find a good mechanic in Bastrop
Woke up Friday early, got ready for work, had some coffee and thought I would have a great end of the week. WRONG! As soon as I tried to start up my car, my dashboard lit up like Christmas tree. Most concerning was my EPC light since my Passat is riddled with electric sensors and computers, my first thought was "oh great, I'm about to spend a fortune now".
