I’m extremely disappointed with Blue Moon Fitness and their outdated, inconvenient cancellation policy. The only way they allow you to cancel your membership is by physically going into the building or by mailing a letter to their corporate office. No online option, no phone option, no email option—nothing. I moved far away and it’s ridiculous that in 2025 a gym still forces people to send a physical letter just to stop being charged. Runaway. They are a scam. You cannot cancel your membership easily. They will continue to steal money from you long after your card has been canceled. Even after you canceled they will still charge you. They will use the argument that you have signed a contract. Their contract terms are outrageous. It is not worth it. Pay to go to a better gym.
They don't entirely explain what you're signing up for. Their ads of cheap and affordable memberships is a guise. They neglected to mention and gloss past their annual fee, so that was a surprise. I cancelled my membership at the start of the month but they will continue to collect 2 months of payments from you because "they run a month ahead." Based off other reviews about cancelations (and the fact that I never received a response to an email I sent to the owner about another issue), I can't say that I'm not concerned if I ever need to cancel, but I'm not going to allow a future hypothetical affect my review today.
