I moved my horse here because of lack of care at my previous barn. I was overwhelmed with the warm greeting and expert care my horse has been given. Mary treats all the horses like they are her own. She keeps everyone posted on their needs and ensures all the animals are happy! Lots of turnout, clean stalls daily, great hay, clean water buckets and a fresh stream running through the pastures. I have had my horse at 8 different barns in the last 20 years and Blue Lake has the best care you could imagine!
My horse, Elvis, has boarded here for 7 years, and it's WONDERFUL!! They provide stalls with turn out and turn in every day. Quality hay is provided and they feed your grain twice per day. There's a fresh stream running through the property, and the pastures are nice. The boarders are mostly mature adults and are friendly and "no drama". It's a great place!!!
The horses stay in the stall 18 hrs a day winter and summer. The pastures are full of holes, the fences are not safe. Old stalls with very little bedding. The barn smells! There are mice and rats EVERYWHERE. You can't keep tack in the tack room because of the vermin. There is no arena to ride in. The hay quality is very low. You supply your own grain. Stay at your own risk.
