The casita we stayed in was beautiful. The decor was nice. The beds were comfortable. The room had a nice whirlpool tub. The paths on the grounds were nice but could be cleaned up a bit. The only disappointing thing was the breakfast. Based on their website I expected something fabulous. We stayed in one of the casitas on a road trip over spring break, and this was a charming stop on our long drive. The suite was large enough for our group of 5, and the view was fantastic. Breakfast at the main lodge was great before we got back on the road. I wish we would have allowed another night to have more time to explore, but the location being so close following our half day visit to Mesa Verde was perfect.

We never saw our host. We only saw one very polite woman watering the weeds. We stayed at Blue Lake in July 2024. The area was overgrown, weedy and not well kept. We couldn't see any mountains or the ponds from our location or the main house. We have had better breakfast at a hotel! My husband got up in the middle of the night to kill all the bugs in the room so I wouldn't wake up and see them. We asked for someone to come clean and spray, but the bugs were still there. Please stay somewhere else.
