They've twice sent me a letter telling me my PCP was no longer in network. The effective date was nearly two months prior to the letter date. WHAT?!

After reading these reviews it’s starting to make much more sense as to why people say this is the worst insurance provider in Kansas. My father is needing a back surgery done and has gone completely immobile because of it. He is starting to get nerve damage it is so bad. The surgeon said he needs to have surgery immediately and for some reason blue cross won’t approve it. It’s going on 6 weeks of this same song and dance with them. He is getting worst by the day. I have been a customer since Jan 2024, and it has been the worst experience I've ever had with an insurance provider. My daughter was in speech therapy, and after double checking with BCBS-KC at the beginning of the year to ensure we were still covered, we continued receiving care. Then after a few months of weekly appointments, we started receiving outlandish bills for each visit, saying they were out of network. I am livid. This is the most incompetent group of individuals I've ever spoken to. It absolutely explains why they are working as insurance people. It is really hard to irritate me but wow. I had a newborn baby. I called them to have her added to our plan. They even sent a letter in the mail saying to call and how easy it would be. We got her added onto the plan pretty fast. Then her plan got randomly cancelled. No reasoning. No email. No call. No mail delivered, nothing. They cancelled it out of the blue. We had absolutely ... read more
