I’ve had BCBS Kansas City for almost a year and everyone that I have spoken to has been very nice, supportive, helpful and some have gone above and beyond. This is the fist time I’ve have an insurance company that to me had brought back customers service and more. Just to name a few they are Kendall, Payton, Brooklyn and Alexandrea. Want to thank them for being understanding and always willing to help me. That has been my experience with them. Truly appreciate them. Thank you!!!
The flu hit me Saturday, so I called on Sunday to get a prescription for Tamiflu. I was told, Sorry, no one is available to help on a Sunday. The problem is, Tamiflu only works if it’s taken within 48 hours of symptom onset. When I pointed that out, the response was simply, Sorry, there’s nothing we can do. Apparently, people only get sick Monday through Saturday. On top of that, I’ve been trying to get a prescription refilled for five days now. Fraudulent behavior. Listed coverage that they didn't provide, because of a discrepancy between them and optum rx. You will need an account with optum rx to view their actual forumulary.
I am a provider and blue kc does not pay in a timely manner! Waiting 6 months later for payment. They put up every barrier to paying. In addition they are the ONLY insurance I work with that always requests medical documents form clients. So if you have blue kc your medical documents are not truly confidential. Awful insurance for providers and clients
BCBS is definitely the most corrupt insurance possible. My wife has them through her work since 2024 and they have yet to pay out a penny. She even asked if they would at least get us their rates from the doctor's and they won't even do that. Now we have medical bills nearing a house payment, bill collectors contacting us, and not a peep from BCBS. We can't go without insurance because of my wife's kidney transplant. THIS INSURANCE SUCKS!!!!!!!!
