We went on a Monday night because not many places were open. Bad choice. The server was country, sweet and sincere but she hadn't been trained in food or wine. We ordered a Caesar salad. What arrived at the table was salad FULL of broccoli florets which were warm and what looked like salvaged romaine stems from romaine that had been going south. Incredible! I was in town visiting friends for Labor Day weekend and we ate dinner at Blu one evening — everything we had was beyond amazing! The menu was incredibly unique and inventive, very thoughtfully curated. The food was beyond fresh, the kitchen team even stepping out while preparing our meal to gather fresh herbs from their garden. Couldn’t recommend Blu more and I wish I lived closer!
I am visiting my parents from NYC and this restaurant has some of the best food I have ever had. I’ve been 3 times and every time the food is amazing. The menu continues to change and the flavors are unbelievable. What a staple in Washington! Could not recommend more!
