My parents moved into this facility (formerly Blossom Ridge) over 6 years ago. It was an ideal place for them to move to from their lovely Oakland Township home. However, now that the Moceri's sold out to a large conglomerate - Storypoint - things are not the same and are only getting worse. Storypoint/Flourish Collection have decided to NOT renew the state license for the Assisted Living and provided less than one month for us to review and understand the more expensive living and care packages. I've sadly come to accept that StoryPoint will never commit the resources needed to meet the standard of quality and care residents enjoyed when this community was owned by the Moceris, but the abject disrespect shown its AL residents — many of whom have called this place home since it opened — is breathtaking. I have had a family member at Flourish for a few years. I have experience with all the different services they have offered. I agree with other reviews that since the sale to StoryPoint things have significantly gone downhill. The subtle changes that occurred in the beginning to the dining room and the overall appearance/cleanliness of the facility have quickly become major changes, have really upset the residents. With a loved one at this facility, I have significant concerns regarding the recent changes in the assisted living facility that, until recently, was an exemplary model of what a caring and supportive environment for older adults should be. My mom has lived here for years. She’s built real friendships and has volunteered countless hours leading a resident choir. That’s exactly why this is so hard to write. Flourish/StoryPoint is ending the licensed Assisted Living model and switching our loved ones to an unlicensed “Enhanced Living”. I understand change happens but families were given only roughly three weeks’ notice.
