Terrible. They got rid of an almost decent hospital and put in a smaller hospital that can't get enough room to take care of anyone despite Bloomington getting close to a population of 100,000 people. The location is terrible due to IU and traffic from college games. Not to mention the abysmal ICU. This hospital needs looked into for how bad it is and how bad the care is. Especially within the ICU.
This is the biggest joke of a hospital. Sister came in with heart issues 12:00 by ambulance. She is still in waiting room at 2:00
If I could give zero stars……. I would recommend to STAY AWAY from this ER and go to any other hospital in Bloomington or nearby. Absolutely the worst service and staff you can imagine.
I went in for nausea. They inserted an IV in the hallway. No chair with an armrest. The 1st IV blew out. They removed it and blood spattered on the chair where they laid it. I was sent to the waiting room. After an hr. I decided I could suffer just as well at home as in the waiting room. The nurse took the IV out and laid it on the armrest of my seat. Blood got on the armrest which she wiped up with gauze. No antiseptic cleaner. I can understand having to wait, but the unsanitized way they do business is unacceptable.
Labor, delivery, NICU, nurses and docs are amazing.
