I've attended around 3 Lyra Foundation classes at BMA. The Foundation classes are not actually foundation classes at all. The students in the classes are extremely advanced and have been practicing for years, so you don't leave feeling accomplished or confident at all. The instructor doesn't really give a class; instead just shows you some moves and lets you try them. I tried out the free open house which included the silks and trapeze. This was an introductory class to help you see what they offer. They have a large array of class offerings at reasonable prices.
Bloom is AMAZING! The people are fantastic and so supportive of your growth regardless of the class you take. If you're looking for a fun and safe environment to learn aerial apparatuses 10/10 would recommend this place!
Lovely studio. We’ve worked mostly with Katie in the past, but all the instructors all seemed to be incredibly knowledgeable are focused on safety and community building. Their artistic performance events beautifully mock gravity in the most graceful ways. Definitely an entertaining night.
