I found the website quite misleading. I purchased the $145 package for 5 Pilates pregnancy classes, and the site mentioned that a health assessment was required beforehand. What it didn’t state was that the assessment would cost an additional $125. The assessment itself was very brief, and I personally didn’t find it valuable. It mostly consisted of a quick chat and a few yoga-ball exercises I could have easily found online. After experiencing a few miscarriages, I joined Bloom during pregnancy to make sure I was doing exercises that were safe and appropriate for me. Working with Naomi in class gave me so much peace of mind. I learned how to control my breathing, move safely, and prepare my body for labour. My plan was to return to my usual gym routine after giving birth. Unfortunately, I ended up having an emergency cesarean. I’ve been attending weekly women’s strength classes with Naomi at Bloom and cannot speak highly enough of the experience. After being diagnosed with osteoporosis, It was recommended that I take proactive steps to strengthen my body and protect my bone health. Bloom has been one of the best investments I’ve made during my pregnancy. From an initial assessment with Naomi to joining weekly classes, the information, support and expertise offered by Naomi and Daisy has been fantastic. I’ve been going to Bloom’s Over 50’s Strength classes & I highly recommend them. They are great not only for the benefit of weight based training but also for the mental & social aspects. Naomi really looks after every person individually in a caring & inclusive environment.
