Maritza is the absolute best. Her color work is impeccable. She listens and provides excellent advice and is so knowledgeable and easy going. A lot of salons in the bay area have a distinct mean girl energy and there is none of that here. Just good vibes and good work. I live in Los Gatos and found Maritza through a lot of research and there is zero hesitation to travel all the way to Berkeley to see her. If you live around Berkeley and need color, or extensions, or good hair, just go.

Alexandra did a fantastic job, I asked for a balayage on my dark brown hair and she blended it seamlessly with the one I had had prior and improved it. You can tell she is really thoughtful and treats your hair with care as if it were her own. She really made me feel heard, and was able to lift color without bleach! I especially recommend her if you have virgin hair and are looking to lighten it without bleach. The service was professional and thoughtful. I will definitely be returning for her services!

I’ve been going to Maritza for 5 years now and she’s the only person I’m willing to cross the Bay Bridge for! She was recommended to me initially for extensions and did a really great consultation where she explained the different options and maintenance for each type of extension. I had a terrible haircut last year and Maritza did my extensions. She did a phenomenal job!!! The hair was gorgeous, super light and lasted a very long time. Maritza only does extensions so is highly specialized in the craft. She does tons of trainings and knows all the latest techniques. I’m on my second set of extensions with her and love this set even more!
