Ben Block was the lawyer representing a seller on closing a residential property transaction. I was the buyer on the other end. Despite funding delay due to my lender's administrative issues (long weekend resulting in funding to be received a business day past due) that was beyond my control as a buyer, a significant 5-figure amount was sought against me.
