This is thé worst place to do your taxes. Mine are very simple yet they made a costly mistake and couldn’t figure out how to correct it. After months of trying to reach them, and me paying second opinion, they refuse to refund me for wrongly prepared taxes. Do not use Akban as your consultant. I love this branch. I’ve been using H&R Block for years. They’re so knowledgeable and so thorough. Definitely will give you peace of mind.
If you've sold stock or property in the past year, be aware: My husband and I started filing our Taxes jointly with this H&R Block in 2023. Since we were merging our finances, we figured this would be a great time to consult with an actual accountant. Oh how naïve we were. We brought all our documents, including from our brokerage and were matched with an accountant. This person, who I have been informed no longer works there, forgot to account for capital gains tax.
