Blissetts Specialty Shop is an awesome shop. My niece went to Buffalo and purchased her prom dress, which would have been almost $100 cheaper at Blissetts. When she got ready for her prom, the shop in Buffalo altered her dress too much and we went to Blissetts and Jaye had her seamstress fix her dress right then and there because she only had 1 hour before her limo was picking her up (AND THEY GAVE HER SERVICE WITH A SMILE). Kudos to Jaye and everyone in the shop.

The first concern I have about this store is its organization - truly dreadful. I don't know if they even had a form of organization whatsoever. Also, their stock of sizes was quite limited, mostly 8s, 10s, and some 12s and 14s, but only five gowns above those sizes, total. The women working there were nice, somewhat helpful, but did not seem to be making a very good effort.

I don't know if they don't keep normal business hours, but I've called 5 times within the past day (at various times of the day obviously) and no one is answering. And their website doesn't give store hours. If they're going to keep strange hours, then their voice mail message should give the hours that you should call. Annoying.

I was really impressed with my visit and purchase there. They are very accomodating and helpful. All of the staff are nice and they have a wonderfully vast selection of all kinds of dresses for all ages and are great about ordering them. Very Professional and Nice all a round. AFFORDABLE!!

I drove almost an hour to Blissetts to buy and have a bridesmaid dress altered for a wedding I was in. After receiving my final alterations, the clerk at Blisset's informed me that they only accept CASH or CHECK for the alterations, due to the fact that the seamstress doesn't work directly for Blissets. Oh my gosh! Step into the 2000's. Many people, including myself, do not carry cash or their check book on them. This has never been a problem for me in recent days anywhere else. I have gone to his store for over 10 years and my mother has gone for over that. I have recieved all my formaul gowns from them, and now I receved my wedding dress from them and they were so helpful and didn't care on how many I tried on or how long it took and I was able to recieve my shoe, head piece, and earing from them one stop shop I love that. I'm in a wedding for which the bridesmaid dresses were ordered about 6 months in advance, and arrived in the WRONG COLORS. The correct dresses finally came in about 2 weeks before the wedding--NIGHTMARE. I had given them my measurements and told them I was a size 6, yet they still ordered me a 10-WAY TOO BIG. They are some of the most helpful people in the world...especially Jaye. She is amazing and can always find something for you to wear. I love this store. I have gone there for every formal and prom dress I have needed in the past, and won't hesitate to make that the first place I go for my wedding dress.

I'm glad I got to review this site. I didn't know her name but found out it was Mrs. Jaye. I hope I got it right. She was awesome! I brought my daugher there to find her wedding dress and they took no time to pull out tons of books to help my daughter look for the style she wanted. As soon as we told them, out she came with 6-8 of the most gorgeous dresses I've ever seen, and I spent 1/2 the price I did for my other daughters' dress in Lockport!! Thank you so much for making the 'looking' experience so pleasant!!
