Edited to add: I have since spoken with Chef Neelam who graciously listened and responded to my concerns articulated below. She advised that our experience was reflective of the growing pains the camp experienced this summer, which I hope and suspect will be addressed in future camp sessions. TJ really enjoyed feeling like he contributed to a meal each day and sharing what he brought home with us. I’m so happy they taught him knife skills, which is something we struggled with cooking together. He was given a wavy knife to take home and explained the different cutting methods to me. Now we will feel safe allowing him to chop ingredients when we cook together as a family.

I wish I could attend Bliss Belly Kitchen camps. My now 12 year old kid attended Bliss Belly Kitchen camps when she was 8 years old. She learned all kinds of skills that has resulted in her ability to put on full family meals, from appetizer to dessert. Her younger sister is now in Bliss Belly summer camp - and is similarly gaining cooking and kitchen confidence. The yoga and meditation is also a great way to center the kids before they get into the kitchen. Thank you Chef Neelam.
