As first time parents, my husband and I were walking into a lot of unknowns and wanted to give birth in a safe space where we felt peace and comfort. Just want to start off by saying that Blessed Joy Midwifery is, hands down, the best team I could have worked with for my last pregnancy. If I were having more babies, I would absolutely, no questions asked, be back with Blessed JOY Midwifery. To start off, when I went to them, I was having my fourth baby and my second out-of-hospital birth experience. If I could give these ladies 10 stars I would. This was my 4th pregnancy but 1st with Blessed Joy and I had a phenomenal experience. Far better than what I experienced with my previous 3 in a hospital setting. You can tell that they truly care about their patients and were very attentive to my every need. Three of my four children were born in the care of Sheila at Blessed Joy Birth Center. Sitting in my very last prenatal appointment I cannot describe the depth of emotion that ran through me watching my daughter who Sheila delivered four years prior crawl into her lap for a snuggle. The bond we have goes far beyond pre and postpartum care and is absolutely invaluable. Sheila and her team are apart of our lives forever.
If you’re looking for a spirit filled midwife that encourages you spiritually and mentally for your labor, I highly recommend Shiela! So blessed to be able to birth with her for my first unmedicated birth with my third. I enjoyed every prenatal visit getting to sit and talk with her and the girls. I am sad now that I have finally finished my 6 week post partum check up. She makes you feel welcomed and is so so friendly 🤍
