Excellent Food, Service and Atmosphere – Brought a friend to Blend who was in from Puerto Rico. He was thorougly impressed by the Ropa Vieja as was I with the empanadas. This was my second time there. The first was around the time they opened and I figured the service was stellar because they were trying to gain a customer base. Great spot for a date – Yesterday, I took my girlfriend to blend. She had been craving Latin American food but didn't want to go to your typical hole in the wall. Great Gourmet Latin food with Trendy Ambiance – My family and I recently went to blend two weeks ago. I heard about it from my cousin. I had the ropa vieja, which was outstanding. It was served on mashed sweet plantains. As a Puerto Rican, I've had plenty of plantain in my day, but not like this. It was delicious. My inlaws had bistec a la palomilla. I tried that as well.
