My husband and I first became aware of Blakehurst Retirement Community while waiting with my father at the GBMC ER. We were so impressed with the genuine warmth, kindness and caring friendliness of the young woman who arrived to take an elderly couple using a wheel chair and a walker back to their residence. They were so happy to see her. She treated them as her own grandparents or parents. We followed her to ask what community she was from. The staff at the Blakehurst Retirement Community truly care about each and every resident. My mother-in-law has been there since March 2002 and she loves the staff there. Everyone that works there shows patience and respect for the residents as well as their family members. Our family is truly blessed to have the Blakehurst in our lives!
