Let me start off by most of the employees we nice, but that's it. In our hotel room 911 we dropped off our suit cases then went to get food, we come back turn the light on and go t the bed. A bed bug was crawling on our bed, we pulled the sheets back and the matress pad and a huge red stain was on the mattress. I freaked, it was too late to ask for a refund because we wouldn't have gotten the amount in time for another room at a different hotel. While the hotel is older, the room we had was clean. The bathroom is small, but the room was bigger. It was a trade off I would do again. Great location on the St. Charles streetcar line and convenient to Canal Street and other areas.

Had an amazing stay staff was amazing especially I believe if remember correctly he said his name was jarvie if not sorry I butchered that but he was so helpful from checking throughout my stay and checking out and dealings with my dog loved being even house keeping sharrie I believe was her name once again if I butchered that I’m sorry momma but very love lady in making sure I didn’t be anything will definitely make all my stays at this location when I come into town

Horrible hotel, other than the location. Old (needs renovation badly). Smells. Dirty, e,g. Hair in the bathtub, stained towels. Bathtub is unsafe. Not what I expect of a Best Western. Addition September 22. We asked to be moved to a better room and we were. This was appreciated. However, Blake Hotel is a tired worn out building; not too clean, chipped paint, low lighting, poor coffee, skimpy towels. The only positive is the location which is excellent.
