I had a wonderful experience at Blaine’s Sewing Service and Repair in Cranston. As a man who doesn’t often shop for fabric, I especially appreciated how comfortable and welcome the salesperson made me feel. They were friendly, patient, and extremely helpful in helping me select the right fabrics. The personal attention and excellent service were greatly appreciated. Highly recommended!
Went today to get my old singer machine repaired and even tho they are running 4 weeks before they can look at machines right now (I know right!!) Susan was extremely patient and professional. She helped me pick out a new machine so I have a backup that suits all my needs and sews beautifully. She really eased my anxieties about a new machine and showed me everything I could ever want to know about it. Great sewing shop! They have a nice choice of fabrics and notions... The shop is small in size, so not an abundance of fabric but what they have is great quality. The owners and the staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to help you find the right machine or supplies for your projects. Ready to offer advice if you happen to get stuck trying to do something and they offer classes in sewing and serging. There is also a repair shop that will service your sergers and sewing machines... What an amazing shop! Not only were the staff friendly, honest, and helpful, but they also successfully repaired my elderly mother's 1962 vintage machine when others stated it was beyond hope, no available parts, etc. I can't wait to give it back to her in celebration of her milestone 85th birthday!
