The barber who did my design cut was excellent — talented, professional, and gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve had. The issue is the owner Mohammed. When I told him I paid $30 (the price I was given), he immediately said the barber would be fired for it. Instead of explaining pricing or handling the situation respectfully, he became unprofessional and hostile, even bringing up legal threats when I mentioned leaving an honest review. This is my first barber appointment in 30 years. I decided randomly today that I would get a beard trim. I entered the establishment after parking on Gravois for street parking. The atmosphere was nice. There were comfortable couches to lounge on while waiting for a professional to become available. They had comedy on the TV. I’ve been going to this barbershop with my wife for about six months, and unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. Initially, I tried one barber who didn’t listen to my requests, and despite my wife liking her haircut, I decided to give it another chance. However, this past weekend, I had a terrible experience. In the shop I thought I got a good haircut. Once I got home and saw it in good lighting I realized how horrible it was. My wife is a hair stylists so she was able to salvage it. She doesn’t do fades so that’s why I went to a barber. This is the second time I’ve gotten my haircut here. The first time a different guy did a really good job. I might try the Grasso plaza location in the future. Not sure I want to fork out another $37.00 for a horrible haircut though.
