Dr. Blackwood is a great doctor but he retired about 3 years ago. I sure miss him. This site says you need more words. He's wonderful. He's thoughtful. He's a good listener. He treats his patients with respect. He has a great sense of humor. But like I said he has retired from practice.
He was my surgeon he was great I came out of there the next day feeling great and I still feel great two months later very very happy with him would recommend him to anyone
Dr Leon saw me in JFK hospital where I had a .feeding,tube that was no longer viable. Previous doctor put in a temporary size 10 tube that also failed to work. Dr Leon removed that tube and put in a temporary size 18 tube which was my size. Because it was very late in the day and all supplies were locked up, he came back on a Sunday and quickly installed a size 20 tube. He was able to perform this procedure at my hispital bedside. I am not happy with a doctor at pinnacle, I am 73 year old man, in a powewhellchair, I had surgery on my spine with pinnacie, +,+,+ over the years. Worst unprofessional experience ever! Misdiagnosed friend who could have died from their awful lack of professionalism and malpractice! Doctor refused to do required tests told friend they did not have condition without tests and tried to push patient over to say they are fine!!! How are they still in practice??? Hopefully not for long!
I had been going here for over 25 years as a patient. The last couple of visits seemed as if the place was loosing the personal nature that defined it for so long. Then recently, a week before I was scheduled to leave the country on business, I caught a nasty cough and sore throat. Dr. Sarantos is a great surgeon. He saved my life and he is very humble about it. He is a pleasant, caring and thorough doctor. I have had many great doctors, but Dr. Sarantos is by far, my favorite. He followed me and cared for me as long as it took for me to get better and then rejoiced with me in my victories and was comforting with my insecurities. I believe in him and he believed in me.
This doctor is NOT a fibromyalgia friendly doctor, he bluntly stated that he doesn't believe patients and anyone can walk in and state they have it. I was diagnosed by doctors after a series of test trying to rule out everything. This doctor made me feel as if I was worthless, after stating fibro patients don't like their jobs and that is why we seek disability, made me feel that I was there for the narcotics and drugs only even when I said I was there to establish as a NEW PATIENT. I used this place a few times because of my insurance. I have almost always had issues with them. however I will add the RN Anne is WONDERFUL. The front offit staff are rude.. Patience needs and issues mean nothing to them. today I brought in my child.. they turned us away stating the insurance won't pay them, thou our plan co ers them according to the insurance. they didn't even offer a out of pocket, they just gave us another location to go to that's not co reed by the insurance.
