Even though the practice had appointments available, we found the charge of $156.80 with a Medicare rebate of $84.90 outrageous for a pensioner. Why is it that health is so expensive? If we were unwell quite often then we would have to forgo going to a doctor as we would never be able to afford attending. Is it any wonder that the public hospital system is under the pressure it is.
