he Blackwells Mills Canal House is so rich in culture and history! We visited during the Canal Competition, and even in the rain, the surrounding nature path was absolutely beautiful. Along the way, we had the wonderful surprise of meeting an expert in bees. But the absolute highlight and a true privilege was meeting a relative of the very last canal worker who actually lived in the house. It's a special, historic spot that brings the past to life!

Very lovely historic house. Great NJ history. Pretty setting. More people should visit these great gems in their backyard. Staff super friendly.

My great grandfather sandor fekete was the last tender and lived there. Spent so many summers with family swimming in the canal, fishing and family picnics.

Historic house. It is still standing so it's got that going for it.

I rode my bike from the Blackwells Mills Canal House down the tow path to the area around the Rockingham House. The ride was very scenic along the way. The Millstone Valley visitor center was also very interesting. The docent there was very informative, as well.
