Amazing store, but specifically the bike fit service with Brian was an incredibly positive experience. It was a thorough process, but a good one, and one I am so glad I went through. Brian helped me understand the whole process plus what was giving me discomfort and why. The experience felt like an education rather then just some sort of consultation. Wide assortment of interesting components- knowledgable, friendly, and technically attentive staff will absolutely help you out.
Had a fitting service done by Brian. After the first fitting setup that felt a bit experimental, we had a follow-up session to clarify the desired geometry and the final result was very good. I was finally able to relieve a lot of tension in my shoulders, neck, and upper back with a much shorter reach, lower stack, and a new saddle position. Also, Brian recommended a different crank arm length to improve pedalling efficiency, and overlaid our findings onto a frameset I had in mind for the new bike project. Left very happy wi... read more
Fantastic customer service! I'm not usually one to write reviews, but the folks at Blacksmith went above and beyond. I was looking for a new saddle and Brian spent a good 45 minutes helping me find one that worked for my body and riding position and then fit it on my bike. The prices were very reasonable and the rest of the staff were super nice. My gear is far from top end and I was apprehensive about going in, but these guys were very welcoming and unpretentious. I'll definitely be going back.
Tire was low on air and saw this shop was around the corner. Stopped by quickly and the staff were super friendly and helped me out right away
