Blackman Lake is close by. We like going to the park there to watch the ducks and Canadian geese.
The boat launch is quite small, with no parking available for trucks. It serves as a boat launch entrance, and a charming little bridge crosses through, offering one bench to sit on, but that's about all. It would be lovely if there were more space for visitors and boaters to explore and enjoy.

Pretty little park with few visitors on this cool October day. Parts are flat but much of the park area is hilly. One entrance to the boat launch road has a padlocked gate, but the other side is open and includes a few handicapped and other parking right at the lake. Plenty of parking near the playground inside the park. Bathrooms near playground are very clean with new, working soap dispensers, hand and hair dryers, and more. No flat trails... Love the big trees.
