My daughter, God bless her, wanted to take me on a fishing trip after I retired. We got lucky to find Blackduck Lodge and Resort. Stayed at Cabin #1 (The Pike). The cabin is quaint but clean, well equipped and totally adequate for our needs. Awesome fish cleaning facility that you will need because it’s an excellent fishing lake. Great communication from the owners. The owners were away on personal business but left the property in capable hands (Blaise 👍).

We stayed here for a quick getaway. It was absolutely wonderful! The grounds are nicely kept and they were cleaning the sanding beachshore while we were there. My husband went fishing in the evening and was pleasantly surprised at how many fish they caught. The cabins are rustic/modern; meaning, the cabins are around 100 years old but have been updated with all of the modern amenities you would expect. Including wifi!!! Our family rented all four of the cabins for our annual summer vacation and we were very disappointed. Cabin 3 had mouse turds all over the silverware in the top drawer and a large mouse nest in the coffee filters in the next drawer. After buying mousetraps we caught two mice in the drawers. Cabin 4 had coffee left in the coffeemaker. Cabin 2 had large dust bunnies and socks under one bed.
