EXCELLENT baked goods, but... Okay, you know the Seinfield episode about soup? Yeah, well the Blackbird is similar. Their baked goods, quiche, soups, and coffee are SO good that you are willing to overlook the service, which ranges from snotty to catatonic. Yep, the food is THAT good. I recommend getting it to go.

TOAST AND TEA!!! – This is clearly the best bakery in town, too bad everyone knows it and the crowds are almost unbearable these days. I recommend one of the many fun, exotic teas with two thick-cut pieces of homemade wheat toast, loaded with yummy butter and locally produced strawberry jam. THe best breakfast for miles. Granola is the best, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. My friend and I even called the bakery one time while we were making granola to ask if we could talk to the baker about his secrets. Epitome of Bainbridge Island. – Blackbird has long been my favorite place to go to experience the real Bainbridge Island. The people are friendly and the food is more than awesome. What can I say? I like toast.
