We wanted to try Black Walnut before it closes at the end of the year, and this was our first experience with an Andrew Black restaurant. We started with the lobster bites and chargrilled oysters. Honestly, I don't get the fuss over this place. Or food was good, but not fantastic. The only thing I loved was the jerk chicken drumsticks. Unsure if our waitress was new, but she was very off the whole time. She tried to take my dish while I was still eating, forget to give pens with the receipt, and gave us VERY confusing answers to questions on the menu.

I've wanted to try Black Walnut for over 2 years and finally made it today (Thanksgiving). I made a reservation for the bar and was able to sit right away. From my drink ( Ménage A Poire) to the brussel sprout salad and oysters, to the Honey Lavendar Chicken everything had wonderful flavor and presentation. I ended with the Black Walnut cake and my only regret is I couldn't eat all the cake by myself. A great experience as a solo diner, I look forward to visiting again.

Came with some coworkers on a random Tuesday and our server, Marria was awesome! All 6 of us enjoyed our apps, entrees and beverages. I wish I had written down what everyone ate, but we all shared and everything was executed flawlessly! We are going to miss Black Walnut when it goes through its makeover at the end of the year. Chef Black is incredible and I know it will be fabulous!
