Don’t dismiss this quiet little restaurant with simple decor. It packs a punch when it comes to the food. I had the most extraordinary dinner with a 12oz steak, super tasty and the Gorgonzola cheese with my added lobster tail would be up there with some of the best food I’ve had in USA fine dining and including polo lounge Beverly Hills hotel. Thanks to the very friendly staff and a very decent Pinot Noir by the glass.
My mom and I have been road tripping , and decided to stop here a few days ago. Little bistro tucked in Brookings. We ordered a white margarita , sandwich , soup and salad. And the food was SOOOOO bomb!!!! The soup came with rosemary bread , wow so good. Also had crème brûlée as well, so delicious!! The atmosphere was so nice, chill and clean. They had good music playing , we got our food& drinks quickly. Prices were so fair as well. 5/5 recommend.
Best meal on our roadtrip from Seattle to Big Sur. And we shad dinner at LePigeon in Portland, OR so that should tell you something. We had the scallops and pork special (odd at first but those two were meant to be served together) and the blackberry cheesecake was out of this world. I will forever remember it. Stuffed mushrooms were ok. Server was super nice and friendly.
Wonderful food. The wait for the food can be a bit long (relatively) which may warrant concern for some clients, but, at this restaurant, it is clear that the wait is warranted. The chefs clearly take time to cook the best food they possibly can. Recommend the grilled halibut sliders.
