I had such a great experience at Black Sheep Salon in Long Beach. Emory, the owner, met with me first for a quick consultation to talk through my hair goals. I booked an appointment about two weeks later and came in for the service. One thing I immediately appreciated is how intentional the salon is about making people feel comfortable and supported. Just got my 3-month touch up by Queen Dinnie . I got my initial Qiqi treatment in December, and the hospitality, inclusivity, queer-friendliness, and neurodivergent-accommodating aspect still remains the same. I am so thankful for the refreshed confidence I have. Dinnie is knowledgeable and talented, along with the other stylists that makes this particular shop cozy and lively. Not trying to be dramatic— ever since I’ve been getting my hair done here, I’ve been feeling like I got a new lease on life or something 🤣

Black Sheep salon has always delivered and made me feel comfortable when getting my hair done. I have never felt so ay ease with any prior salon. The staff has always made me feel welcome and accommodating with my sensory issues. I can’t thank Dinne Danger enough for the beautiful color and cut she’s given me.
This place is such a safe space. We feel seen, welcomed and genuinely cared for in this salon. The staff is ALWAYS warm and friendly. My 5-year-old son’s barber , Mimi, takes great care of him. He is normally very anxious and has difficulty with being in new spaces with new faces, but from day 1 Mimi took the extra time to help him feel comfortable with one of his first hair cuts.
