Black sage is by far the best restaurant in southern Utah. I was a former owner of a high-end restaurant I know what it takes to run a fine dining establishment and West really knows his stuff. The service is excellent the food was amazing and the ambience just wrapped it up in a beautiful package because my son took me there for my 74th birthday and it was lovely. He's very picky about his restaurants as well and he was quite impressed and it takes a lot to impress him.
Our experience started on a bad note. We called the restaurant to see if we could be a little late or if they had seating at 8 (our reservation was at 7:30) and were told the chef said we could show up at 7:30 or the next day. So, I hurried, and we ended up showing up 10 minutes late.
